Miami, FL – Kodak Black’s latest arrest could land him behind bars for a decade.
According to the court documents obtained by XXL, the Pompano Beach-bred rapper faces a maximum of 10 years in prison for allegedly lying in an effort to obtain a firearm at Lou’s Police Distributors gun store in Hialeah, Florida on two separate occasions earlier this year.
He could also receive a $250,000 fine and three years of supervised release.
Kodak’s criminal attorney, Bradford Cohen, confirmed he’s been indicted on two counts of making a false statement in connection with the acquisition or attempted acquisition of a firearm.
Prosecutors say Kodak falsified the Firearms Transaction Record (Form 4473), which must be filled out in order to purchase a registered firearm. He marked “no” in the section that asked if he was a felon despite being indicted for criminal sexual conduct for a 2016 case in South Carolina.
As a result, he was arrested before his performance Rolling Loud Miami on Saturday (May 11).
The 21-year-old artist is expected in court on Wednesday (May 15) for a bail hearing.
